ABOUT
Liv Little is a writer and creative of Jamaican and Guyanese heritage, born and raised in South London. Her work spans fiction, journalism, audio, and television, often centring the people and places that matter to her.
Her debut novel Rosewater a tender, queer love story, was published by Dialogue Books in the UK and John Legend’s imprint, Zando, in the US. Her second novel, Bitter Melon, was published in October 2026.
Liv served as the host of We Have Notes, the Observer’s weekly culture show. And as s a writer and host, Liv has contributed to leading publications (The Guardian, Observer, ELLE) and hosted Why I... Move, a podcast in collaboration with Nike and ELLE, where she is also a contributing editor.
Liv has brought her creative vision and on-screen presence to campaigns for brands including Absolut, Squarespace, MAC, Samsung, Pandora, Google and Links of London.
She has developed a range of film and television projects and worked in writers’ rooms for See-Saw, Left Bank, and Paramount+, and wrote an episode of The Flatshare (Series 2).
Her original pilot Paradise — a darkly comedic thriller described as Search Party meets Twenties — was featured on the Brit List in 2022. She is currently working on her debut feature and various television projects.
Before focusing on fiction and screenwriting, Liv founded and led gal-dem, the award-winning magazine and media platform dedicated to spotlighting the voices of people of colour from marginalised genders. She has also worked in-house at BBC Digital in commissioning, as a producer at BBC Three, and has executive produced several short-form projects.
She’ll soon direct her first narrative short film.
